Snopsis for "Find the Flower that Blossoms."

Ashley Summers is a young White woman who meets and falls in love with Adisa Omawale, a Black man who moves to her town from the Bay Area. When racial strife surfaces in opposition to Adisa's diversity work, Ashley's best friend is murdered. This book picks up with Ashley's torment and guilt behind her friend's death. She's traumatized by all of this and develops a drinking problem. She manages to stop drinking, but then succumbs to an addiction to sex. She has multiple affairs until she's caught. Her shame and guilt causes her to attempt suicide. She lapses into a coma and it's then that she's visited by her murdered friend. She awakens and decides she's finally ready for true recovery until the real life racists who caused so much turmoil for her resurface.
